From forest to finish.
Four steps, zero plastic — how a bamboo stalk becomes the hoodie on your back.
The Fibre
Bamboo, regenerated into Lyocell in a closed-loop system that recovers over 99% of its solvent. No petroleum, no plastic hiding in the blend — what touches your skin came out of the ground, rain-fed and pesticide-free.
The Yarn
Long, smooth Lyocell filament, spun fine and even. It wicks moisture faster than cotton and stays soft wash after wash, so the hood, body and rib never turn stiff or scratchy — with no elastane and no plastic core.
The Fabric
Knit into a 380–400 GSM interlock double-knit — smooth on both faces, stable and heavy enough to hold its shape and drape with real weight. Real 1x1 rib at the hood, cuffs and hem gives mechanical stretch and recovery, engineered by knit and density, never spandex.
The Finish
Every fibre ships greige, in its natural Raw Oatmeal tone — no dye, no bleach, no optical brighteners. The garment is pre-shrunk before it ships, so it arrives already broken in and stable, with no surprise shrink after the first wash.
See it move.

Every hoodie ships with a key tag cut from the very bamboo wood we use for the aglets — laser-engraved to order with your first name, hung on a twisted bamboo-fibre cord. No metal ring, no plastic, nothing to landfill.
It is engraved in the same Vietnamese workshop that engraves the aglets, packed into your parcel at the factory. Type the name in the order box — that's it.
One hoodie. One plant. Zero plastic.
Bamboo — fast-growing, rain-fed, grown without pesticides — broken down into Lyocell in a closed loop that recovers over 99% of its solvent. Knitted, sewn, finished — and packed — in Vietnam, in plant-based packaging made there too.
At every step there was a plastic shortcut: elastane for stretch, polyester core in the thread, fusible in the hood, a dye house at the end. We didn't take any of them.
One origin also means one shipment. Garment and packaging never cross an ocean to meet each other — fewer freight legs, lower freight cost, and faster delivery, with the emissions savings to match.
The result is a hoodie that is ~98% bamboo by weight, sewn with biodegradable Lyocell thread — and when you are finally done with it, decades from now, it goes back to the earth.
Structure without spandex.
Elastane is plastic. Shape is engineered into the knit instead.
The Fibre
Bamboo, spun into Lyocell in a closed loop. Rain-fed, regenerative, grown without pesticides — lower water and chemistry than cotton, organic included.
The Knit
380–400 GSM interlock double-knit — smooth both faces, stable, resists bagging. Real 1x1 rib at cuffs, hem and neck gives mechanical stretch-and-recovery. Zero elastane.
The Greige
Dyeing is the dirtiest, thirstiest step in textiles — so we skip it entirely. No dye effluent, no bleach, no brighteners. Raw Oatmeal is not a colour we added; it is the colour bamboo already is.
The Hood
Oversized 3-panel scuba hood, self-lined in a second layer of interlock for its standing shape — no fusible, no structure fibres. Hood-base drawcord with laser-engraved bamboo aglets.
The Pouch
One oversized kangaroo pouch cut from a single panel, coverstitched and symmetrical. Opt-in: a sealed self-fabric phone slot behind it — no zip, no velcro, no plastic snap.
The Parcel
Bamboo paper inside a corn-starch biopolymer mailer — plant-based, zero oil, packed at the factory. No poly bag, no plastic tape. Your engraved key tag rides inside.
FAQ
Is it really 100% plastic-free?
The garment, yes — body, rib, pouch, drawcord, aglets and neck label are bamboo; the sewing thread is wood-pulp Lyocell. No polyester, nylon, acrylic, elastane or plastic coating anywhere in it — and no bio-based plastic in the garment either. Plants only. The parcel's weatherproof mailer is a corn-starch biopolymer — plant-grown, zero oil; the full story is on our Packaging page.
Why is there no zipper?
The hero pullover is the greenest build — dropping the zip removes the last non-bamboo trim, taking it to ~98% bamboo by weight. If you want a full-zip, it's an opt-in at checkout: nickel-free brass teeth on natural cotton tape with a bamboo pull. Still zero plastic — just a little less bamboo, and we show you that trade openly.
Why is it undyed — can I get other colours?
Undyed is the point. Dyeing and finishing is the most polluting, water-hungry step in textiles, so we skip it entirely. Every fibre ships greige in its natural Raw Oatmeal tone. There are no dyed colours, by design.
Will it stretch out without elastane?
No. Shape comes from a firm interlock double-knit and real rib zones that stretch and recover mechanically. It holds its shape without shedding microplastics in the wash.
How does the free key tag work?
Every hoodie comes with a bamboo key tag, laser-engraved to order with the first name you enter in the order box — cut from the same bamboo wood as the aglets, on a bamboo-fibre cord with no metal ring and no plastic. It is engraved in Vietnam and packed into your parcel at the factory. If you leave the name blank, we'll ship it unengraved.
What are the yin-yang ponytail openings?
An opt-in: three concealed self-fabric openings stacked down the back of the hood — high, mid or low pony. Each opens for a ponytail and closes flat when unused. Works for anyone, any hair.
Why does the tag say 'lyocell' and not 'bamboo'?
US labelling rules require regenerated fibre to be named 'lyocell' on the care tag, even when made from bamboo. The fabric is genuinely bamboo Lyocell — we follow the labelling rule to the letter.
Does it really biodegrade?
Every fibre is cellulose — bamboo Lyocell fabric, Lyocell thread, bamboo wood trims — and breaks down at end of life. On the full-zip opt-in, the metal parts pull out and recycle.
How is it packaged?
Bamboo paper, packed at the factory in Vietnam, shipped inside a weatherproof corn-starch biopolymer mailer — 100% plant-based, zero oil-based plastic, no poly bag, no plastic tape. The full breakdown — including why the mailer exists and what it's made of — is on our Packaging page.
