The Fibre
Bamboo, regenerated into Lyocell in a closed-loop system that recovers over 99% of its solvent. No petroleum, no plastic hiding in the blend — what touches your skin came out of the ground, rain-fed and pesticide-free.
The Same Yarn
This is the point: the Winter weight is knitted from the same yarn lot as the Summer weight. The fibre is already owned — the only new commitments are knitting it heavier, cutting, sewing and freight. Nothing about the material changes but the loft.
The Cloth
Knit into a 340–400 GSM loopback French terry — unbrushed loops on the inside that trap air and hold warmth, with a clean face outside. Heavier and warmer than the Summer interlock, structured by knit and density. Real rib at the hood, cuffs and hem for mechanical stretch — never spandex.
The Finish
Every fibre ships greige, in its natural Raw Oatmeal tone — no dye, no bleach, no optical brighteners. Pre-shrunk before it ships, so it arrives already broken in and stable, with no surprise shrink after the first wash.

The Winter weight is the Summer hoodie's heavier twin — same bamboo Lyocell yarn, knitted into a loopback French terry for loft and warmth. Regenerated in a closed loop that recovers over 99% of its solvent. Knitted, sewn, finished — and packed — in Vietnam, in plant-based packaging made there too.
At every step there was a plastic shortcut: elastane for stretch, polyester core in the thread, fusible in the hood, a dye house at the end. We didn't take any of them.

Structure without spandex.
Elastane is plastic. Warmth and shape come from the cloth instead.

The Greige
Dyeing is the dirtiest, thirstiest step in textiles — so we skip it entirely. No dye effluent, no bleach, no brighteners. Raw Oatmeal is the colour bamboo already is.
The Hood
Oversized standing scuba hood, self-lined in a second layer of terry for its shape — no fusible, no wire, no drawcord. Warmth built into the collar.
The Pouch
One oversized kangaroo pouch cut from a single panel, coverstitched and symmetrical. Warm hands, clean lines, no zip and no plastic snap.
The Parcel
Bamboo paper inside a corn-starch biopolymer mailer — plant-based, zero oil, packed at the factory. No poly bag, no plastic tape. Your engraved key tag rides inside.
FAQ
Can I buy the Winter Hoodie now?

What's the difference from the Summer Hoodie?
The pattern, fit and fibre are identical — same bamboo Lyocell yarn lot, same block. The only change is the cloth: the Summer weight is a lighter interlock; the Winter weight is a heavier 340–400 GSM loopback French terry with inside loops for warmth.
Why is it $138?
That's the planned Founding 100 price when pre-orders open. It's the heaviest cloth in the range — more yarn, more knitting — so it's the top price in the range. The number shown is the pre-order price; it's confirmed at costing before pre-orders open.
Why undyed?
Dyeing and finishing is the most polluting, water-hungry step in textiles, so we skip it entirely. Every fibre ships greige in its natural Raw Oatmeal tone. There are no dyed colours, by design.
Will it stretch out without elastane?
No. Shape comes from a firm loopback terry and real rib zones that stretch and recover mechanically. It holds its shape without shedding microplastics in the wash.
Why does the tag say 'lyocell' and not 'bamboo'?
US labelling rules require regenerated fibre to be named 'lyocell' on the care tag, even when made from bamboo. The fabric is genuinely bamboo Lyocell — we follow the labelling rule to the letter.
Does it really biodegrade?
Every fibre is cellulose — bamboo Lyocell terry, Lyocell thread, bamboo wood trims — and breaks down at end of life. No plastic hardware to pull out first.

Bamboo paper, packed at the factory in Vietnam, shipped inside a weatherproof corn-starch biopolymer mailer — 100% plant-based, zero oil-based plastic, no poly bag, no plastic tape.
